HCS music students participate in Marching Band Day  

Hampton City Schools (HCS) middle and high school students participated in the Norfolk State University (NSU) - A Day In Sparta Marching Band Day Camp and Showcase. 

“The students rocked the house,” said Erica Spencer, business partner integration coordinator for HCS. 

At the end of the camp, brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard students performed multiple songs alongside NSU band members, some of whom are HCS graduates.

“We are proud of the students who participated and thankful to families who provide these exciting pre-college learning opportunities,” shared Kelly Dee, HCS visual and performing arts curriculum leader.
