Phoebus High School holds 20th annual career fair
Phoebus High School held its 20th annual career fair on Monday, Feb. 6. The fair was coordinated by Trina McLean, business and information technology teacher. Students from the career and technical education classes and the government classes attended the fair. They had the opportunity to talk to representatives from various academic and professional institutions, the military, and industry, to begin planning for life after high school.
The colleges and universities in attendance were Norfolk State University, Howard University, Hampton University, Chowan University, Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University, Regent University, Johnson & Wales University, George Mason University, Lincoln University, Bryant and Stratton College, Riverside College and Centura College.
Representatives from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army National Guard, ECPI, City of Hampton, Hampton Police Department, Hampton Sheriff's Office, City of Hampton, Busch Gardens/Water Country, Douglas Aquatics, First Advantage Federal Credit Union, Liebherr, New Horizons, Newport News Shipyard, Wright Modeling Agency, TRIO Talent Search and Hampton Roads Educators’ Credit Union were also in attendance.
“Many students commented that the career fair helped them determined which path they would like to take for their future,” said McLean. “That is always my goal.”

The majority of pages in our site are available in HTML format that can be deciphered by screen readers. Some documents are in Portable Document Format (PDF), which require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.

The HCS website is designed and monitored by HCS Webmaster Vickie Carper, who serves as the gatekeeper for website content and accessibility. The Webmaster is under the direction of the Executive Director of Public Relations and Marketing, supervised by the Director of Graphics.
